Lung Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (LC-MDT), made up of healthcare professionals whose specialty is treating and supporting people with lung cancer, is established in Tikur Anbessa Specialized Hospital in collaboration with Ethiopian Thoracic Society under the Multinational Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Control Project. The overarching aims of the  Lung Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (LC-MDT)  are to ensure that all lung cancer patients will experience:  safe,  quality care;  expedited diagnosis;  the correct treatment;  an appropriate environment;  respect for their autonomy and privacy; timely care from a senior doctor working within a dedicated multidisciplinary team; improved communication and, a better patient experience. The team comprises a PCCM physician, Cardiothoracic surgeon, Radiologist, Oncologist, and pathologist as it starts its journey. Other co-opting health professionals will be invited to join the team as appropriate in the future.
